Students and employees are strongly encouraged to enroll in eRefund if a refund is possible. Refunds are issued when excess credits remain on an account after all charges and expenses have been paid. These credits may result from scholarships, loan disbursements, or overpayments.
eRefund provides the fastest method for receiving refunds, as funds are deposited directly into the recipient's bank account.
Two options are available for receiving refunds: eRefund or a physical check.
Locate the School section and select "Student Center."
Click "Make a Payment" to go to "Transact."
Open "My Account" from the upper left sidebar.
Scroll to "Direct deposit refunds" and tap "eRefund Sign up." Agree, then hit "Continue." Enter your bank details (account number and bank's routing number, not debit/credit card).
Search for "employee payments" in the search bar at the top
Select the "Student Center." from the list of options
Click "Make a Payment" to go to Transact.
Open "My Account" from the upper left sidebar.
Scroll to "Direct deposit refunds" and tap "eRefund Sign up." Agree, then hit "Continue." Enter your bank details (account number and bank's routing number, not debit/credit card).
Refunds issued by eRefund will be directly deposited and appear in the bank account on file within three to five business days.
Information About Checks
If your preference is to pick up a paper check at the Cashier's Office, you will be notified by email when it is ready to be picked up.
If you currently do not have a U.S.-based bank account and are not physically at BYUH to be able to pick up a refund check at the BYUH Cashier Office, please get in touch with the Cashier Office by phone or email to review other options for payment delivery.
